(1) from among the prisoners for the internal management of the prison; Chowkidar, Naike or Sahanaike may be appointed.
(2) When appointing a watchman, a watchman or a watchman in accordance with sub-section (1), as far as possible, a prisoner who is in custody for an offense not punishable by imprisonment in accordance with the prevailing law shall not be appointed.
(3) In accordance with sub-section (1), when appointing a chowkidar, naike or sahnaike, it shall not be appointed for a period of more than one year and a prisoner who has once received the responsibility of a chowkidar shall not be appointed in such a way that the same or another responsibility shall not be given to the same or any other responsibility before one year of such responsibility has been completed.
(4) In the case of a watchman, a nurse or a support worker designated under sub-section (1) or a teacher designated under sub-section (4) of section 24 or a prisoner working in a factory under section 26, the imprisonment shall be reduced as follows:-
(a) In case of Chowkidar, one month equals six days,
(b) Five days equal to one month in case of Nike,
(c) One month equal to four days in case of sufferers, (d) One month equal to six days in case of teachers, (e) One month equal to six days in case of factory workers.
