Rule 61
Special Education Council
(1) There will be a special education council with the following members for formulating and managing policies related to special education:-
(a) Minister of Education or Minister of State – Chairman
(b) ………………
(c) Member, National Planning Commission (Looking after Education) – Member
(d) Secretary of the Ministry – Member
(e) Joint Secretary, Ministry of (Looking after Educational Administration) – Member
(f) Representative, Ministry of Finance – Member
(g) Representative, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Welfare – Member
(h) Head, Nose, Ear, Throat Department, Veer Hospital – Member
(i) President, National APA · Federation – Member
(j) One member nominated by the Ministry from among the experts related to special education (k) One member nominated by the Special Education Council from among the teachers teaching special education (l) One member nominated by the Special Education Council from among the disabled persons who have made a special contribution to the upliftment of the disabled. (d) Director General – Member – Secretary
(2) The term of office of the member nominated as per sub-rule (1) shall be three years.
(3) The Secretariat of the Special Education Council shall be in the Department (4) The procedure for the meeting of the Special Education Council shall be as determined by the Council itself.
