After the implementation of this Act by the Government of Nepal, those who have been upgraded in accordance with this Act but have not been appointed to the upgraded post and Section 9B of the Act. A one-time special voluntary retirement plan program will be introduced targeting the employees who are eligible for pension among the employees who have been appointed.
(2) The employees who want to retire according to the voluntary retirement plan introduced in accordance with sub-section (1) must submit an application to the Ministry within six months of the implementation of the program and the Government of Nepal may grant voluntary retirement to the employee who makes such an application.
(3) According to sub-section (2) the employee who gets voluntary retirement shall not exceed the age of sixty years by adding a maximum of seven years of service to the total service period for pension.
(4) An amount equivalent to seven years of pension can be paid as a lump sum to employees who take voluntary retirement in accordance with this section.
(5) Other arrangements related to special voluntary retirement plan shall be as prescribed.
