Section 1
Abbreviation, extension and initialization

(1) The name of this Act shall be "Police Act, 2012".
(2) This Act shall be applicable throughout Nepal.
(3) The matters of paragraphs 1, 2, 3 and 6 shall come into force immediately and the matters of other paragraphs may be enforced in the territory of Nepal as published by the Government of Nepal in the Nepal Gazette and from the specified date.
