Section 1
Abbreviation, Extension and Commencement
: (1) This Act may be called the “Standard Measures and Weights Act, 2025”.
(2) This Act shall apply throughout Nepal.
(3) This section shall commence immediately and other sections shall commence in relation to the specified transactions or goods from the date specified in the place specified by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
