Rule 26
Functions, Duties and Powers of Management Committee of Institutional Schools

(1) Apart from what is written in the Act, the other functions, duties and rights of the management committee of the institutional school shall be as follows:-
(a) To operate, supervise, inspect and manage the school in coordination with the director of the educational department of the school or the director of the company,
(b) To protect and promote the services of school teachers and staff,
(c) Involving students in examinations,
(d) Getting the school involved in various programs run by the Government of Nepal (e) Every year, by gathering the donors and parents of the school, inform them about the income, expenditure and educational achievements of the school in the previous academic year and the educational program of the next year,
(E1) Approving the position of the school teacher and starting the process of permanent filling within six months of the temporary appointment of the teacher in the vacant position,
(f) To provide necessary facilities to the teachers and staff appointed in the school,
(g) To arrange the teachers and staff welfare fund,
(h) To spend the amount accumulated in the fund as per clause (g) only in the work mentioned in the same clause,
(i) Departmental punishment to teachers and staff who do not act according to their conduct,
(j) To recommend to the District Education Officer for the appointment of at least three auditors from among the auditors registered in accordance with the prevailing law for the audit of schools,
(k) Create and implement a code of conduct to be followed by the students (l) To work according to the instructions given by the District Education Office.
(2) If the management committee wishes, it may form a teacher-parent association.
(3) The management committee may delegate some of its powers to the member-secretary of the management committee as needed.
