Section 63
Punishment

(1) If someone commits any of the following offences, the investigating officer shall punish the person causing such offence:-
(a) Whoever commits an offense under Clause (a) or (b) of Section 62 shall be punished with death in accordance with the prevailing law in case of death of such an act and imprisonment for ten years and a fine of up to one lakh rupees in case of non-death. (b) Whoever commits an offense under Clause (c) or (d) of Section 62 shall be liable to imprisonment for a term up to seven years and a fine of up to one lakh rupees, (c) Whoever commits an offense under Clause (e) or (f) of Section 62 shall be liable to imprisonment for a term up to one year and a fine of up to two lakh rupees. Fine up to Rs.1 lakh,
(d) Whoever commits an offense under Clause (g) or (h) of Section 62 shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to one year or with a fine which may extend to ten thousand rupees, or with both, and
(e) Clause of section 62: Ja), (h) and (t) shall be imprisoned for up to six months and fined up to fifty thousand rupees.
(2) If any person commits any of the following offences, the railway administrator may impose a fine on the person who commits such an offense on the basis of the report of an employee of the board as follows: No
(a) Whoever commits an offense under clause (l) or (d) of section 62 shall be fined up to two lakh rupees, and (b) (A fine of up to fifty thousand rupees shall be imposed on those who commit an offense under Clause (d) of Section 62.
(3) If someone commits any of the following offences, the station head may immediately fine the person who causes such an offense to be committed as follows, based on the ticket inspection of the board or the report of the related staff:-
(a) A fine of up to twenty thousand rupees shall be imposed on the person who commits an offense under clause (n) of section 62, (b) A fine of up to ten thousand rupees shall be imposed on the person who commits an offense under clause (t) or (th) of section 62, and
(c) A fine of up to five thousand rupees shall be imposed on the person who commits the offense under Clause (D) or (D) of Section 62.
