Rule 86
Pedigree and Education

(1) If a military person dies or becomes disabled under sub-rules (6) and (7) of rule 83 or rule 85, maximum two descendants of such deceased or disabled military person shall be entitled to the starting pay scale of the post held by the deceased or disabled military person as per the following Monthly interest will be given at the rate of percentage:-
(a) Assistant Soldiers and above up to Maharathi – Ten percent
(b) Jamdar and above up to Chief Subedar – twelve percent
(c) Back and above up to Hudda – Thirteen percent
(d) Followers and soldiers – fourteen percent
(2) In the case of a son, he shall receive the grant as per sub-rule (1) on completion of twenty-one years of age or on entering government service, whichever is earlier, and on completion of twenty-one years of age, marriage or entry into government service, whichever is earlier, in the case of a daughter. br> (3) In case of death or disability of a military person under sub-rules (6) and (7) of rule 83 or rule 85, maximum two children of such deceased or disabled military person until they reach the age of eighteen years, in addition to the inheritance as per sub-rule (1) Annual scholarship will also be given at the following rate:-
(a) Assistant soldiers and above up to Maharathi – two thousand four hundred
(b) Followers and above up to Chief Subedar – one thousand eight hundred
