4. Work, Duties and Powers of the Committee

The work, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-

(a) Surveying, studying, investigating, evaluating and monitoring the project or conducting it,
(b) If the project is financially and technically suitable, to carry out construction and development work of the project,
(c) To prepare the necessary policies, plans and programs to maintain the active participation of the local people in the development process of the project for the development and construction of the project,
(d) Managing the contract work as required for the construction of the project,
(e) Taking consulting services as needed for construction supervision, monitoring and management of the project (f) To carry out or cause necessary actions for the speedy implementation of the project,
(g) Approving cost estimates for power projects,
(h) To prepare tender documents for the purpose of inviting tenders on the basis of national and international competition for the implementation of power projects,
(i) Accepting bids under prevailing laws,
(j) Inspecting the project and giving necessary instructions for solving the problems observed during the inspection, amended by the first amendment.
(k) Approving the annual budget and program of the committee and implementing it or causing it,
(l) To perform other tasks as specified related to the implementation and operation of the project.
