The tasks, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-

(a) To advise the Government of Nepal on the policy issues of social security programs,
(b) To prepare the draft of the social security program to be conducted by the fund and submit it to the Government of Nepal for approval and implement it after approval,
(c) Conducting or conducting a social security program approved by the Government of Nepal (d) To invest the amount accumulated in the fund in a safe area so as to earn income (e) To prepare the fund's investment policy and implement it after obtaining the approval of the Government of Nepal (f) framing laws relating to social security schemes or programmes,
(G) To approve the annual budget, plan and program of the fund (h) Obtaining details of contributors and updating records,
(i) Distribution of identity cards to contributors,
(j) To carry out other necessary tasks to operate the social security program.
