In addition to the functions, duties and powers mentioned elsewhere in this Act, the functions, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:-
(a) Regarding Conformity Testing and Accreditation: Advising the Government of Nepal on policy issues,
(b) To prepare a draft of the necessary policy to make the work related to the uniformity test effective and recommend it to the Government of Nepal for approval,
(c) To approve the program and budget of the Centre,
(d) To monitor and conduct the activities related to accreditation done by foreign organizations in Nepal (e) to determine the fees to be charged for the services provided by the Centre,
(f) Independence and impartiality of the work related to accreditation. To give necessary instructions regarding ensuring,
(G) Hearing complaints received regarding accreditation and making necessary decisions,
(h) study bilateral, multilateral and international treaties, agreements and give directions to the Center as required regarding accreditation, and
(i) Discuss the proposals submitted by the Center and take necessary decisions.
