The work, duties and powers of the Committee shall be as follows:- (a) (preparation of work plans and standards related to bird flu prevention and control, (b) surveillance of bird flu, emergency disease investigation, Arranging arrangements for disease diagnosis and establishment of control rooms, (c) Mobilizing necessary manpower and resources for bird flu control,
(d) For the prevention and control of bird flu, the sale, distribution, storage or transport of birds, bird products and bird product materials and other items that can transmit diseases related to: Prohibition in accordance with Section 15 of the Act, or Section 28 of the Act Necessary coordination and facilitation in relation to removal or destruction,
(e) Manage information and communication for bird flu prevention and control,
(f) If there is a request for bird flu control from any province, to mobilize resources for bird flu control and disinfection in coordination with the relevant province,
(g) To facilitate, coordinate and cooperate with the Government of Nepal, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, the provincial government, the local level and other stakeholders for bird flu control,
(h) Determining procedures for prevention and control of bird flu.
