(1) According to this Act, disputes that can be resolved through conciliation can also be resolved through community-based conciliation mechanisms.
(2) In order to facilitate dispute resolution according to sub-section (1), the concerned community may prepare a group of conciliators after the dispute arises or before the dispute arises.
(3) The following persons may be included in the group according to sub-section (2):-
(a) Eminent persons of the local community,
(b) Persons designated by community organizations operating at the local level,
(c) Local social workers,
(d) Teachers or professors working in local schools or colleges.
(4) While preparing the group as per sub-section (3), the representation of women should be ensured as per the requirement.
