- (1) Government, public or community land should not be registered or usurped in the name of a particular person. However, this sub-section shall not be deemed to prevent the Government of Nepal from arranging public land for public purposes, government land for any work deemed appropriate by the Government of Nepal, and community land for any work deemed appropriate by the concerned community.
(2) Before or after the commencement of this section, if any person registers and claims the government, public or community land in the name of a particular person, such registration shall automatically be cancelled. The registration fee of such land in the name of a specific person will also be deducted by the office of the land office or the official designated by the government of Nepal.
(3) Government, public or community land shall be registered and kept up-to-date as prescribed by the land registry office.
