Rule 18
Understanding Witness

(1) If a witness is mentioned in the indictment or in the defendant's statement, after taking the defendant's statement, if the relevant party requests that the witness be summoned on the day set by the court, the tribunal shall order such witness to be summoned.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if a witness has to go out of the country and is unable to appear at the specified time, if he makes a written request to the tribunal showing reasons for his inability to attend at the specified time, the tribunal shall immediately issue a witness statement.
(3) If an application is received in accordance with sub-rule (1), the registrar shall send a deadline of seven days to the name of the witness to appear before the tribunal.
(4) It shall be the responsibility of the concerned party to present the witness as per sub-rule (3) before the tribunal.
(5) A witness who does not appear on the date specified in accordance with sub-rule (4) will not be affidavit.
(6) Regardless of what is written in sub-rule (5), in the case of a witness who is not new to the case, Civil Act No. 115 of the court order. According to the deadline, the witness can be heard.
