(1) The Government of Nepal may, by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette, appoint a public analyst for the purpose of this regulation to any employee working in a government or non-government laboratory who has attained the following qualifications and has the facility of food analysis testing.
(a) M.Sc in Chemistry or Food Science or Biological Science. Or having passed graduation examination in food technology (food technology) with two years experience in food research or analysis work, or
(B) Taking Chemistry as a B.Sc. Having passed the examination and obtained 5 years of experience in food research or analysis work.
(2) At the request of the public analyst/food inspector, the sample of food shall be examined and the analysis report thereof shall be sent to him.
