(1) The following places shall be considered as public places:-
(a) State and Government bodies, institutions or offices,
(b) Educational institutions, libraries, training and health related institutions,
(c) Airports, airlines and public vehicles,
(d) Child Welfare Homes, Child Care Centres, Old Age Homes, Orphanages, Kindergartens and Clubs,
(e) Public toilets,
(f) Workplaces of Industries and Call Factories, Explanation: For the purpose of this section, "Workplace" means an office or place set aside for work by an Industry and Call Factories.
(g) Movie houses, cultural centers and theatres,
(h) hotels, motels, resorts, restaurants, bars, eateries, hostels, lodges, hostels and guest houses,
(i) Stadium, covered hall, physical fitness exercise centre, swimming pool and pool house,
(j) Departmental stores and mini markets,
(k) Dharamshala and religious places,
(l) Public transport waiting room and ticket counter.
(2) In addition to the places mentioned in sub-section (1), other places designated by the Government of Nepal after considering the importance and sensitivity of any place shall be considered as public places.
