Rule 12
Seeking permanent staff

(1) Permanent employees should be requested and sent to the Public Service Commission at least six months prior to the date of retirement with the necessary details of the positions to be vacant due to compulsory retirement.
(2) In the case of a post that has become vacant due to any reason other than sub-rule (1) or a newly created post, a permanent employee shall be requested and sent to the Public Service Commission along with job description and necessary details within seven days.
(3) In accordance with sub-section (2) of section 18 of the Act, when requesting a position to be vacant within the financial year, the basis and reason for the vacancy shall be clearly mentioned and sent.
