Rule 130
Voluntary Retirement
(1) If a teacher applies to retire from service, the appointing authority may allow him to retire from service at any time.
(2) A teacher who has reached the age limit of 50 years and is eligible for pension can apply for voluntary retirement within the period specified by the Government of Nepal by publishing a public notice and providing the following facilities for voluntary retirement:-
(a) The amount of pension which will be increased by a maximum of five pay increments without exceeding the age of retirement,
(b) In case of completion of pensionable service period, lump sum pension equal to one year.
(3) According to the notification published in accordance with sub-rule (2), the teacher who wants to take voluntary retirement can take voluntary retirement within the period mentioned in the same notification.
