Section 60
Extension or re-registration
Special provisions related to registration: (1) Industries which were registered in accordance with the prevailing law at the time of commencement of this Act and the period for starting the operation or commercial production or business of the industry has expired and could not start the operation, commercial production or business or before If the period has been extended and the industry is unable to conduct business or commercial production or business even within the extended period, the industry that has expired may apply for a one-time extension within three months of the commencement of this Act to the industry registration body.
(2) If, while examining the application received in accordance with sub-section (1), the industry registration body sees reasonable grounds for extending the deadline, it may extend the deadline by completing the procedure according to this Act and charging the following delay fee:-
(a) at the rate of five thousand rupees per annum in the case of minors,
(b) In case of domestic and small consumption at the rate of fifteen thousand rupees per annum,
(c) in the case of medium industries at the rate of fifty thousand rupees per annum,
(d) At the rate of one lakh fifty thousand rupees per annum in case of large industries.
(3) According to sub-section (2), the information regarding the decision regarding the extension of the deadline of any industry shall be given to the concerned applicant within seven working days of the decision.
(2) If, while examining the application received in accordance with sub-section (1), the industry registration body sees reasonable grounds for extending the deadline, it may extend the deadline by completing the procedure according to this Act and charging the following delay fee:-
(a) at the rate of five thousand rupees per annum in the case of minors,
(b) In case of domestic and small consumption at the rate of fifteen thousand rupees per annum,
(c) in the case of medium industries at the rate of fifty thousand rupees per annum,
(d) At the rate of one lakh fifty thousand rupees per annum in case of large industries.
(3) According to sub-section (2), the information regarding the decision regarding the extension of the deadline of any industry shall be given to the concerned applicant within seven working days of the decision.
