(1) No hazardous substances shall be imported into Nepal.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), any specific type of hazardous substance that does not have a significant adverse effect on human health and the environment may be imported as specified by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
(3) Hazardous substance producers or any person or organization established according to prevailing laws may export hazardous substances with the permission of the Ministry.
(4) According to sub-section (3), the basis, standards and other arrangements related to allowing the export of hazardous substances shall be as prescribed.
(5) Hazardous substances imported contrary to this Act shall be sent back to the country from which they were imported.
