In this Act, unless the subject or context otherwise requires, –
(a) "University" means Tribhuvan University.
(b) "Assembly" means the University Assembly as per section 8.
(c) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council as per Section 11.
(d) "Executive Council" means the Executive Council as per Section 13.
(e) "Service Commission" means the Service Commission as per section 15.
(f) "Study Institute" means a study institute as per this Act.
(g) "Association" shall mean an association under this Act.
(h) "Research Centre" shall mean a Research Center as per this Act.
(i) "Dean" means the head of the study institute or department.
(j) "Executive Director" means the head of the research center.
(k) "Teacher" shall mean professors, associate professors, deputy professors and assistant professors who provide education in the university or are involved in research work and the term also refers to the instructors at various levels of the university and the persons designated as teachers in the rules made under this Act. br> (l) "Department" shall mean the central department or department as per this Act.
(d) "Angik Campus" (Angik Mahavidyalaya) means the Angik Campus (Angik Mahavidyalaya) of the University.
(d) "Affiliated Campus" (Affiliated College) means a campus (Affiliated College) affiliated with the University.
(n) "Academic Council" means the Academic Council established in accordance with this Act.
(p) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means prescribed or prescribed in the rules made under this Act.
