2. Definition

Unless the subject or context requires otherwise, in this order,-

(a) “Board” means the Board of Directors of a public institution constituted under section 3.
(b) "Public Institution" means the Public Institution mentioned in Schedule-1.
(c) "Chairman" means the Chairman of the Board.
(d) "Member" means a member of the Board and the term includes the Chairman.
(e) "Recommendation Committee" means the recommendation committee constituted as per section 4 to recommend the appointment of the chairman and members of the board. shall mean executive officer, executive director, director general, general manager or managing director.

(g) "Secretary" shall mean the secretary of the board.
(h) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" means as prescribed in the guidelines or procedures issued under this order.
