Rule 2
Definition
In this regulation, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Court" means a High Court and that term includes any other Bench or Temporary Bench within the territorial jurisdiction of such Court.
(b) "Act" means the Administration of Justice Act, 2073.
(c) "Law Practitioner" shall mean a Law Practitioner as per the Nepal Law Practitioners Council Act, 2050. (c1) "Schedule" means an orderly list of actions, specifying the maximum number of days and dates for the proceedings of a case from registration to judgment.
(d) "Judge" means the Judge of the Court and the term includes the Chief Justice of the Court.
(e) "Full Court" means a meeting of the Chief Justice of the High Court and all the Judges present for matters other than the adjudication of cases and includes the meeting of the Judges and Judges acting as Chief of another Bench or Temporary Bench; .
(E1) "Different case management" means the management of cases registered in the court by keeping them in different channels for the purpose of processing and disposal as per paragraph-4A.
(e2) "Margagroup" means the proceedings and settlement of cases under Rule 34A. According to the division according to the nature of the case. P.(e3) "Payment Management Committee" means rule 165A. It should be referred to as Pay Management Committee.
(f) “conciliation” means the process adopted by the parties to resolve a dispute or issue with the assistance of a conciliator.
(g) "conciliator" means a conciliator appointed under the prevailing law relating to conciliation to induce conciliation of the dispute between the parties.
(h) "conciliation body" means an organization approved by the Conciliation Council to carry out conciliation work.
(h) "Registrar" means the Registrar of a High Court and that term includes another Bench of the High Court;or also refers to the officer appointed to act as the administrative head of the temporary bench.
(h) "Commercial Bench" shall mean the Bench of the Court appointed by the Government of Nepal in consultation with the Supreme Court in accordance with the prevailing law and published in the Gazette.
(k) Joint Bench” means a Bench of two or more Judges.
