Section 14
Holiday
(1) The Attorney General may obtain the following leaves:-
(a) Festival holidays and holiday coming up (b) Home Leave
(c) Sick Leave
(d) Kiriya leave
(e) Special Leave
(2) The holidays under clauses (a), (b), (c) and (d) of sub-section (1) shall be with full wages and the holidays under clause (e) shall be with half wages.
(3) The Attorney General will be allowed to take six days of holiday and six days of holiday every year.
(4) The Attorney General shall get home leave at the rate of one day for eleven days of his working period. Home leave can be accumulated up to a maximum of one hundred and fifty days. When determining the period of work for the purpose of home leave, the days of upcoming holidays and festival holidays and public holidays will also be added to the working days.
(5) The Attorney General who accumulates more than one hundred and twenty days of home leave may receive a lump-sum amount at the rate of wages earned by him for the home leave accumulated up to the end of the financial year up to a maximum of thirty days.
(6) The Attorney General shall be entitled to sick leave at the rate of fifteen days every year. Any amount of such sick leave can be accumulated. If the attorney general submits a certificate from an approved doctor for a serious illness, if there is no sick leave left, he can get sick leave with pay for two months and after taking additional sick leave with such pay, he can get sick leave without pay for an additional four months at a time and not to exceed twelve months throughout the period of service. However, when taking additional sick leave with pay, home leave will be deducted at the rate of one day for every two days of additional sick leave.
(7) If the Attorney General himself has to stay in Kiriya, he will get Kiriya leave for a maximum of fifteen days depending on the total religion.
(8) The Attorney General may obtain special leave as under:-
(a) not exceeding one month at a time, and
(b) not exceeding three months in total throughout the period of service.
(9) If any person holding a constitutional post or in the service of the Government of Nepal is appointed to the post of Attorney GeneralHe will not be deprived from enjoying his accrued leave while in that position or service.
(10) If the Attorney General retires from his position, he will be entitled to receive a lump-sum payment for home leave and sick leave accrued in accordance with sub-sections (4) and (6) at the rate of wages that he has lost from his position.
