Section 18
Punishment

Those who commit the following acts will be punished as follows depending on the amount of the crime –
(a) Whoever commits an act contrary to section 7 shall be punished with imprisonment for a term up to three years or with a fine up to fifty thousand rupees or with both. Punishment with fine or both upto Rs.
(c) Whoever commits an act contrary to Clause (a) of Section 10 shall be punished with imprisonment up to three years or a fine up to fifty thousand rupees or both.
(d) Whoever commits acts contrary to clauses (b), (c) and (d) of section 10, shall be punished with imprisonment for a term up to five years or with a fine of up to one lakh rupees or with both.
(e) Those who cause actions contrary to Clause (e) of Section 10 shall be punished as follows -
(1) Imprisonment for up to fourteen years or fine up to five lakh rupees or both in case of danger to life.
(2) Imprisonment for up to ten years or fine up to five lakh rupees or both if the strength of any part of the body can be weakened or lost.
(3) In other cases, imprisonment up to five years or fine up to three lakh rupees or both.
(f) Apart from the above-mentioned actions, whoever causes any other actions contrary to this Act or the rules made under this Act shall be imprisoned for two years or fined up to one lakh rupees or both.
