Section 6
Right to live and visit with parents

(1) No child shall be separated or separated from his father or mother against his will.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the Juvenile Court may, if necessary for the best interests of the child, order any child to be separated from his father or mother and placed in the custody of a guardian. But before making such an order, the concerned party should not be deprived of a reasonable opportunity to present his explanation.
(3) Except in cases where it is prohibited by the children's court that it would be harmful to the children, the children living separately from their father or mother or both shall have the right to maintain a personal relationship with their parents or to have regular direct contact or meeting with them.
(4) The person who has an adopted son or daughter-in-law should allow the adopted son or daughter-in-law to meet, contact and correspond with their birthday parents.
(5) The alternative care person or institution shall allow the child under its care or protection to visit its birth parents or family.
