Section 43
Arrangements for Juvenile Correctional Homes

(1) The Government of Nepal shall establish children's correctional homes as needed for the purpose of keeping children until they are reformed and rehabilitated.
(2) For the purpose of sub-section (1), any institution may establish a children's correctional home after taking approval from the Government of Nepal.
(3) The Juvenile Court may monitor and inspect the Juvenile Correctional Home established within its territorial jurisdiction, give necessary instructions to such Juvenile Correctional Home and order such Juvenile Correctional Home to submit a report regarding the condition of the children in the Juvenile Correctional Home.
(4) If the child who is in a juvenile correctional home reaches the age of eighteen years while the remaining period of his stay in the juvenile correctional home remains, he shall be separated from other children in the juvenile correctional home for the rest of the period, taking into account the improvement in his habits, skills acquired, and the continuation of education.
(5) The establishment, operation, monitoring and other arrangements of the Children's Correctional Home shall be as prescribed.
