13. Monitoring and Evaluation

The primary responsibility for monitoring and evaluation related to the implementation of this policy will be the Ministry of Environment. In order to make the monitoring and evaluation effective, the Ministry will determine and implement the monitoring and evaluation indicators. It will be the duty of the relevant ministries, departments and agencies to provide assistance in solving the problems by updating the progress details of the work done by the respective agencies. Implementation, monitoring and evaluation of local level programs will be done by the local bodies in the prescribed format and the information will be sent to the Ministry of Environment. The budget amount of the project or program related to climate change, the annual program and the progress report will be submitted to the Climate Change Council and other related bodies and will be made public.
