7. Objective

The main objectives of this policy are as follows:

7.1 Establishing a capable and effective technical organization to address climate change related issues and strengthening and enabling the existing institutions. 7.2 Implementation of programs related to climate adaptation and taking maximum advantage of positive effects while minimizing adverse effects. 7.3 Increase the use of clean energy such as hydropower, renewable and alternative energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging the use of energy efficiency and green technology. 7.4 To enhance the climate adaptation and adaptation capacity of the local community for the maximum use of natural resources and their efficient management. 7.5 Adopt a low-carbon development path by making socio-economic development climate change-friendly and adaptive. 7.6 To develop the capacity to avoid the adverse effects of climate change by identifying the effects of climate change, quantifying the effects and adopting adaptation measures to be safe from potential risks. 7.7 Making maximum use of the opportunities obtained from climate change conventions, conventions and agreements to improve living standards
