Rule 74
gratuity

(1) A police officer who has served for five years or more but has not reached the period for receiving pension according to Rule 75 shall receive gratuity at the following rate if he retires, resigns after accepting his resignation, or is removed from his position without being disqualified for government employment in the future:-
(a) Police employees who have been employed for more than five years and ten years, the last half month's salary for each year of service,
(b) a police officer who has been employed for more than ten years and for fifteen years, the last one month's salary for each year of his service,
(c) Police personnel who have been employed for more than fifteen years but less than twenty years, the salary of the last one and a half months for each year of service.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), no gratuity shall be given to any police officer if it is proved that he has lost his citizenship, age or qualification for the purpose of continuing in the service.
