Rule 75
Pension
(1) If a police employee retires after working in the police service for twenty years or more, he will receive a monthly pension in the following amount:-
(a) In the case of gazetted police officers: years of service × last pay 50
(b) In the case of non-gazetted police officers: years of service × last pay 40
(2) The minimum amount of pension shall not be less than half of the salary scale of the serving police officer of the same position and the maximum amount shall not be more than the starting scale of the salary of the serving police officer of the same position.
(3) In the event of the death of a police officer who has completed fifteen years of service, his family will be allowed to choose which pension or gratuity they want to receive by adding the service period required for pension to his service period.
(4) Notwithstanding anything else written in this regulation, a police officer who is dismissed from the service as a result of being deemed unfit for government service in the future shall not be entitled to pension in accordance with this regulation.
