Rule 47
To receive salary and allowances for working as a permanent or temporary employee
(1) A civil servant who works in a position permanently or for a period of more than a fortnight shall receive the salary and allowance of the position in which he has worked from the date of such work.
(2) According to sub-rule (1), the salary and allowance received by a civil servant working as a permanent or temporary employee shall not exceed the salary and allowance received by him if he is promoted to a higher position. However, the amount of salary and allowance received in that way will not be less than the salary and allowance received by him.
