Even if this Act is enforced in relation to any place or transaction or goods in Nepal, the Government of Nepal may publish a notice in the Nepal Gazette and allow the continuation of the practice of any other measure and weight specified in the notification in addition to the standard amount and measure in relation to such place or transaction or goods for a maximum period of five years. However, the Government of Nepal cannot grant permission under sub-section (1) to bring into circulation any measure or weight which is not in circulation immediately before this Act comes into force.
