Section 22
Taking the value of the land
(1) When the land is sold and distributed according to section 21, the person who gets the land shall pay the amount of the value of the land at the specified rate in a lump sum as specified or in installments as specified from time to time as specified in cash. For those who pay in installments, interest will also be levied on the purchase amount at the rate of 5 hundred per annum for the period of payment. But if someone wants to pay the entire amount or one or more installments or any part of it before the specified deadline for paying that installment, he can pay it.
(2) According to sub-section (1), the designated officer shall open a separate account in the bank and deposit it as prescribed.
(3) If someone does not pay the amount of any installment that should be paid according to sub-section (1) within the deadline and brings it to be paid within 1 month after the deadline has passed, the designated officer will fine the amount of that installment and collect the amount of the installment.
(4) If someone does not pay any installment amount to be paid according to sub-section (1) even within 1 month after the expiry of the due date, the relevant land and if any installment has been paid for the value of that land by the order of the designated authority, that amount will also be confiscated.
