Rule 91
Salary

(1) The civil servants who are appointed to a position that will be paid according to the fixed salary scale will get the starting salary written in that salary scale.
(2) A civil servant who is promoted to a post in a higher salary scale will receive the initial salary specified in that salary scale. However, if the salary he is currently getting is equal to or more than the minimum salary of the said higher salary scale, his salary in the said higher salary scale will be determined as follows:-
(a) If the salary he is currently getting is only equal to the starting salary of the upper salary scale, one salary increase will be added to that salary.
(b) In the event that the salary received in the previous position is higher than the starting salary of the promoted position, when determining the salary of the higher position, one salary increment of the higher position will be added to the salary until it reaches the current salary.
(3) In case the total service period is maintained for pension by adding a period according to Section 35 or Sub-section (3) of Section 37 of the Act, the amount of salary increase for the period added shall also be included for the purpose of his pension.
