Article 246
Functions, Duties and Powers of the Election Commission

(1) The Election Commission shall conduct, supervise, direct and control the election of the President, Vice President, Member of the Federal Parliament, Member of the State Assembly, Member of the local level, subject to this Constitution and the federal law. The election commission will prepare the list of voters for the purpose of the election.
(2) The Election Commission shall hold a referendum on matters of national importance in accordance with this Constitution and the Federal Law.
(3) If there is any question regarding the qualification of a candidate in the case that the nomination of the candidate for the President, Vice President, Member of the Federal Parliament, Member of the State Assembly or Member of the Local Level has been registered but the election result has not been announced, the decision will be made by the Election Commission.
(4) The Election Commission may delegate any of its functions, duties and powers to the Chief Election Commissioner, any Election Commissioner or a government employee to exercise and comply with the prescribed conditions.
(5) Other work, duties and rights and procedures of the Election Commission shall be in accordance with federal law.
