(1) The constitution of the National Board of Medical Specialties shall be as follows:-
(a) Director, National Board of Medical Specialties - Chairman
(b) Two members nominated by the committee from among the deans of universities and institutes (c) Registrar, Nepal Medical Council - Member (d) One woman-member
nominated by the committee from amongst the reputed experts in medical education (e) Joint Secretary, Ministry of Health of the Government of Nepal - Member
(f) Senior Officer, National Board of Medical Specialties-Member-Secretary
(2) The term of office of a member nominated under clauses (b) and (d) of sub-rule (1) shall be four years and he may be re-nominated.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), if the nominated member does not behave in accordance with his position or does not fulfill his responsibilities, the committee may remove him from the position of member at any time. But before removing him from the post, he should be given a reasonable opportunity to present his explanation.
(4) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), if a member as per clause (b) of sub-rule (1) does not hold office at the time of nomination, his term of office shall automatically expire and the vacant position shall be nominated by following the procedure as per the same clause.
