Rule 6
Hope

(1) The commission may grant a letter of intent for the establishment of an educational institution in areas deemed necessary in accordance with the national policy of medical education, the standards related to the letter of intent and the mapping of the establishment of the educational institution.
(2) An educational institution wishing to obtain a letter of intent as per sub-rule (1) may submit an application to the commission by attaching the bank voucher of which the fee as per schedule-2 has been submitted in the format as per schedule-1.
(3) According to sub-rule (2), the committee may conduct a study by itself or the experts of the relevant subject and conduct on-site inspection as required.
(4) Based on the study or inspection conducted according to sub-rule (3), if it is found that such organization fulfills the criteria according to the Act, the committee will recommend to the commission to grant the letter of intent.
(5) Based on the recommendation of the committee as per sub-rule (4), the commission may provide the letter of intent specifying the necessary conditions.
(6) After the commencement of this regulation, the term of the letter of intent of the educational institution which has received the letter of intent shall remain valid for five years and if the educational institution does not operate within that period, the letter of intent received by such institution shall be cancelled.
