Section 57
Arrest or issue warrant

(1) Upon receipt of a complaint in accordance with this code, the court shall issue an arrest warrant or warrant as required under this paragraph to bring the accused who has not appeared with the complaint in the cases related to offenses mentioned in Schedule-1 and Schedule-2.
(2) The court shall issue a warrant of arrest in accordance with sub-section (1) to bring the person accused of the following offences:-
(a) Heinous offense or serious offence,
(b) the offense of abetment, abetment or criminal conspiracy of any offense mentioned in clause (a) or the offense of being a party to such offense or the offense of concealing or fleeing the person accused of such offence.
(3) The court shall issue summons as necessary to bring the accused of other offenses to the court except the offenses mentioned in sub-section (2). But if there is reasonable reason to believe that the accused may not be arrested or if the accused does not appear in the court within the period specified in the summons, the court may issue an arrest warrant in the case of such accused in accordance with sub-section (2).
(4) If there is reasonable cause to believe that there is a possibility of concealment or destruction of any document or evidence to be filed in court, or if any document or evidence is not filed in the court within the time limit specified in the summons issued under sub-section (3), the court shall order such document or evidence An arrest warrant can be issued to arrest and present the person who has the duty to file.
(5) Upon the issuance of a warrant of arrest in accordance with sub-section (4), the court may order any employee or any police officer to search the place where the document or evidence is kept and file it in the court.
(6) An employee or a police officer as per sub-section (5) shall search a place in accordance with section 18.
(7) When the court issues an arrest warrant or subpoena to bring an accused person to appear in accordance with this section, the court shall send a notice in the format as per Schedule-22 so that the details of the complaint are disclosed.
