(1) If the Vice-Chancellor, Head of Education, Registrar or Chairman of the Service Commission has not fulfilled the responsibilities of his position, has not worked honestly or has not behaved in accordance with the position, if one-third of the members present in the Assembly submit a written request to the Chancellor to remove him from the position, then the Chancellor under the chairmanship of a member of the Assembly, University Grants: Member of the Commission for Education, Science and A three-member investigation committee headed by the secretary of the Ministry of Technology will be formed.
(2) The inquiry committee formed according to sub-section (1) shall conduct the necessary inquiry and submit its report to the Chancellor within thirty days.
(3) After receiving the report as per sub-section (2), the chancellor shall present the report to the assembly.
(4) If at least ninety-one percent of the total number of members of the Assembly decide to remove the Vice-Chancellor, Dean of Education, Registrar or Chairman of the Service Commission from the post during the discussion on the report submitted as per sub-section (2), the Chancellor shall remove the Vice-Chancellor, Dean of Education, Registrar or the Chairman of the Service Commission from the post. But before such removal. He shall not be deprived of the opportunity to submit a clean-up.
(5) The procedure to be followed in the investigation of allegations under sub-section (1) or the removal of other officials of the university, except the vice-chancellor, head of education, registrar and chairman of the service commission, shall be as prescribed.
(6) If an investigation is initiated against an official under this section, a final decision shall be made within six months. Until such/final decision is made, he shall not be allowed to work in his current position.
(7) The Vice-Chancellor may assign responsibilities to senior officials of the University to carry out the daily work performed by the officials under sub-section (6).
