Rule 2
Definition
In these regulations, unless the subject or the context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Act" means the Education Act, 2028.
(b) "Ministry" shall mean the Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.
(c) "Centre" means Center for Education and Human Resource Development.
(d) "Director General" means the Director General of the Centre (e) “Directorate” means Directorate of Education Development.
(f) "Director" means the Director of the Directorate.
(g) "Inspector" means the staff appointed to inspect the school.
(g1) “community-run school” means a school run by the community under rule 22A. According to the local body or the management committee, it should be considered a community school that has been entrusted with the management.
(g2) "Community teacher" means a permanent teacher appointed by the management committee under a post approved by the Government of Nepal in a school run by the community.
(g3) "Teacher Selection Committee" means rule 96A. The following teacher selection committee should be mentioned.
(h) "Management Committee" means School Management Committee.
(i) "Examination" means Lower Secondary Education Passing Examination or Secondary Education Passing Examination.
(j) "Examination Committee" means Lower Secondary Education Passed Examination Committee or Secondary Education Passed Examination Committee.
(k) "Academic session" means the annual period during which studies are taught in schools.
(l) "Non-formal education" means education given under rule 48.
(d) "Distance Education" means education imparted on a subject through correspondence, audio, visual, audio-visual or other means of communication.
(l) "Child Development Center" means a Child Development Center opened in accordance with Rule 67 for providing physical, mental or intellectual education to children who have not completed four years of age.
(n) "Educational Manpower Development Council" means the Educational Manpower Development Council as per Rule 72.
(T) “PradhandhYapak" means a teacher appointed under Rule 93.
(h) "Family" shall mean the husband, wife, son, adopted son, unmarried daughter or adopted daughter, father, mother or step-mother who lives in the same household as the teacher and has to be supported by him alone, and in the case of a male teacher, the term should mean his father, son and daughter-in-law. In the case of a female teacher, it refers to her mother-in-law, father-in-law as well.
(d) "Teacher's bookshop" means the school teacher's bookshop as per rule 126.
(d) "Fee" shall mean the fee that the school is allowed to charge the students according to rule 146.
(n) "Managing Committee" means section 12c of the Act. The Board of Directors of the Rural Education Development Fund formed as per
