Section 2
Definition
: In this Act, unless the subject or context requires otherwise,-
(a) "Officials of constitutional bodies" means chief officers and officers of constitutional bodies to be appointed according to the Constitution of Nepal.
(b) "Chief Officer" means the Chief Commissioner of the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission, Auditor General, Chairman of the Public Service Commission, Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission, Chairman of the National Human Rights Commission, Chairman of the National Natural Resources and Finance Commission, National Women Chairman of the Commission, Chairman of the National Dalit Commission, Chairman of the National Inclusion Commission, Chairman of the Tribal Commission, Chairman of the Madhesi Commission, Chairman of the Tharu Commission and Chairman of the Muslim Commission.
(c) "Official" means Commissioner of Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission, Member of Public Service Commission, Election Commissioner of Election Commission, Member of National Human Rights Commission, Member of National Natural Resources and Finance Commission, Member of National Women's Commission, Member of National Dalit Commission appointed as per the Constitution of Nepal. Member, member of National Inclusion Commission, member of Adivasi Tribe Commission, member of Madhesi Commission, member of Tharu Commission and member of Muslim Commission.
(d) "Prescribed" or "as prescribed" shall mean as prescribed or prescribed in the order issued by the Government of Nepal by publishing a notice in the Nepal Gazette.
