Section 14
Registration of specimens of imported endangered wildlife or plants
: (1) In accordance with this Act or the rules made under this Act, specimens of endangered wildlife or plants imported into Nepal shall be registered as prescribed.
(2) In order to register the wild animal or plant or its specimen as per sub-section (1), the concerned person, institution or agency shall submit an application to the management body with the following documents attached within thirty five days of the importation of such wildlife or plant or its specimen:-
(a) Permit issued by the authorized body of the concerned country to export such wild animals or plants or specimens thereof,
(b) a certificate of origin of such wild animal or plant specimen,
(c) Permit issued by the management body to import,
(d) Proof of payment of customs duty,
(e) Certificate of healthiness of such wild animal or plant specimen.
(3) In relation to the application made under sub-section (2), if it is found that such wild animal or plant or its specimen has been imported in accordance with this Act or the rules made under this Act, the management body shall register such wild animal or plant or its specimen and the relevant person, organization Or will give the registration certificate to the agency as prescribed.
