(1) The term of office of the House of Representatives shall be five years except in the case of early dissolution in accordance with this Constitution.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-section (1), the term of office of the House of Representatives may be extended by not exceeding one year in accordance with the federal law in the event that the emergency declaration or order is in effect.
(3) The term of office of the House of Representatives extended as per sub-section (2) shall automatically expire after six months from the date of the declaration of the state of emergency or the cancellation of the order.
