(1) If a female police officer is pregnant, she will be entitled to sixty days of maternity leave before or after delivery.
(2) Female police personnel on maternity leave will get full pay, allowances and rations.
(3) A female police officer who has taken maternity leave as per sub-rule (1) may take unpaid maternity leave for an additional three months without being deducted from any leave if she wishes. While taking such leave, the leave as per sub-rule (1) shall be taken continuously.
(4) According to sub-rule (3), the period spent on unpaid leave shall be added to the service period.
