: (1) The contractor shall have the right to sell, spend and export his share of petroleum subject to section 55.
(2) The contractor shall not enter into an agreement to sell any part of his share of petroleum for a period exceeding four quarters without the prior approval of the Department. If the department gives such approval, the government of Nepal will not force the contractor to fulfill the internal demand according to section 55 from petroleum with such contract.
(3) The Government of Nepal may, if it wishes, give at least ninety (90) days prior notice to sell all or some of its share of petroleum to petroleum contractors. The contractor shall submit all available information and conditions of sale to the department regarding potential buyers of petroleum from the Nepal Government and the Government of Nepal will issue instructions from time to time so as not to interfere with the approved collection arrangements. The contractor shall not enter into any contract for the sale of petroleum belonging to the Government of Nepal without the prior approval of the Department.
