Section 40
Management of prisoners in special prisons
(1) Prisoners sentenced to imprisonment shall be kept in special prisons as long as they are alive according to prevailing laws.
(2) Prisoners who have been sentenced to life imprisonment in accordance with prevailing laws may be kept in special prisons based on the nature of the offense, the seriousness of the offense or the security sensitivity.
(3) Detainees who need to be detained under special surveillance or security in accordance with the court order for trial on charges of heinous crimes under prevailing laws may be kept in special prisons. In this way, the prisoners kept in pre-trial detention should be kept in a separate cell from other prisoners.
(4) The prisoners referred to in sub-section (1) shall be kept in federal prisons until special prisons are arranged.
