Article 143
Provisions relating to transfer and transfer of Chief Justice and Judges

(1) The Chief Justice or Judge of the High Court shall not be employed or assigned to any post other than the post of Judge. However, the Government of Nepal may, in consultation with the Council of Justice, appoint a High Court judge for judicial investigation or for a specific period of law or justice related research, investigation or any work of national interest.
(2) On the recommendation of the Judicial Council, the Chief Justice may transfer a High Court judge from one High Court judge to another High Court judge.
