Article 22
The right against torture

(1) An arrested or detained person shall not be subjected to physical or mental torture or treated in a cruel, inhuman or degrading manner.
(2) Acts as per sub-section (1) shall be punishable according to law and the person suffering from such behavior shall be entitled to compensation according to law.
